Austin, Texas… the heart of the republic, the home to “Austin City Limits” and the backdrop scenery of those wonderful old Roy Rogers movies. But Austin is also home to the famed 6th Street. 6th street is the entertainment pinnacle of Austin’s entertainment district where you can see many old buildings dating back to the 1800s and early 1900s and definitely where you can get great beer. Probably the best known entertainment event of the year is the infamous Halloween celebration.
On a recent trip to Austin, I took an afternoon stroll and checked out the sites on this street that rivals world-famous Beale in Memphis.
