I’m will be teaching a brand new class for College of the Mainland – Lifelong Learning this summer (2021)! 

“The Tourist Guide to Travel Writing”

I have literally been traveling since I was in my mom’s womb. My travels have taken me to far off places both here in the United States and abroad. Travel writing does not have to be only for those people who are published in books or magazines. With tips and creativity, your travel writing can help you shares your trips with your friends and family.

Come learn how to create a story about your next trip that showcases not only the places you visit, but also the experience of the trip itself!

You will learn how to use the art of storytelling to retell stories of your trip and keep your family and friends on the edge of their seats! Tips will be shared on how to organize your materials as well.

Recommended reading for the class is “The Best American Travel Writing 2020” (The Best American Series®).
