Happy Valentine’s Day, friends! On this day all about love, I’m just brimming with heart eyes for all of you! So in honor of each of you, I promise I’ll toast champagne to you. ❤️ I don’t know what you’re up to today, but I hope it involves enough sugar to make you swoon. May cupid’s arrow strike you a thousand times! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We go red today in support of #NationalWearRedDay to bring awareness that cardiovascular disease is the #1 killer of women every single year. #baygored #gored @heart_south
On this day in 1862, former U.S. President and Confederate congressman-elect John Tyler dies at age 71 in Richmond, Virginia. 🇺🇸 Tyler, who was born in Virginia in 1790, served as a U.S. congressman and as governor of his home state before winning election to the U.S. Senate. state during the 1830s, when many of the sectional issues were emerging in national politics. A Whig, Tyler became the 10th U.S. vice president in March 1841. Within a month of his inauguration, President William Henry Harrison died in office and Tyler vaulted into the executive chair. The major achievement of his administration was the addition of Texas to the Union in 1845. . #asoutherngirlsview #travelphotographer #historian #educator #worldtraveler #womenwhotravel #roadtrip #southerngirl #photojournalist #lifestylephotographer #lifestylephotography #tennesseegirl #travelphotography #history #portraitphotographer #travelwriter #teacher #virginiahistory #uspresident #presidentialgrave #richmondhistory #richmondvirginia #hollywoodcemetery
Oh... just me hanging with the Bolivian Ambassador to the US today after our press confernence for @archaeologynowhouston at the @hmns
When I saw the incoming call was from my vet, I grabbed the phone and raced in to the office to take it. “She’s great!” He said without hesitation or small talk (I had trained him well). “I am 99% sure it is an abscessed tooth and not cancer”. 🐾 And with that sentence, my world was whole again. Fears, many times, help us see the bigger picture and help us narrow down what is truly important. 🐾 As we head into this bright new year examine what is most important to you and let’s share below.
How do you start the New Year? I’ll be honest, I have started a January 1st (or two…) totally amped about some silly resolutions I’d completely forgotten about by Valentine’s Day. This year I’m far too old to party like I used to, and I plan to start 2019 being a bit more strategic with my resolution making, and I hope to see some really great results. Plus maybe a really long walk later today to enjoy the nice weather. . What about you friend? Do you always start your year the same way? . #sapportraits #sandyadamsphotography #sandyadams #leaguecityportraitphotographer #friendswoodportraitphotographer #lifestylephotography

Today, the city of Houston and our nation grieve for the passing of President George H W Bush. Ironically, I visited the Bush Library in College Station on election day. I was struck by the enormous life Bush had lived as I toured the library. He lived a very long amd enriched life and now he is with his daughter and wife. 🇺🇸 #asoutherngirlsview #presidentbush41
